Moonlynne Day, MS  (she/they)

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL ADULT, CHILD AND TEEN THERAPY. AVAILABILITY FOR IN-PERSON AND TELEHEALTH.

I am a Clinical Psychology Intern currently completing my doctorate program at Walden University. I have worked in a wide array of settings for all ages. My primary experience is with higher levels of care, including a PHP program for eating disorders and in-patient psychiatric care for significant mental illnesses. Additionally, I have helped build and run care programs for neurodivergent and special needs children. I have years of experience neurodivergence on a personal and professional level that encompasses so many important needs. I am queer, non-binary, and late-diagnosed AuDHD. My family is also LGBTQ+ neurodivergent. My spouse is non-binary and late-diagnosed autistic. Our elementary-age daughter is a demi-girl and AuDHD. This has allowed me to build my skills in navigating gender exploration in childhood and adulthood, autistic burnout, skills regression, early intervention, the impact of development on neurodivergence, and functioning as a neurodivergent parent with a neurodivergent child. How I practice... I offer individual therapy for all ages (6 to 60). I incorporate a wide array of techniques in therapy, based on what each person needs. My primary modalities are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and interpersonal. I also have experience working with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, narrative therapy, and Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. I am currently learning how to incorporate Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop games into therapy sessions. I enjoy helping people move through their traumas to meet their authentic self. I often approach therapy with a relaxed and sarcastic manner. My goal is to help each person learn what works for them to live their best life, whether that means addressing deep wounds and finding a place of healing or learning new "brain hacks" to create the best environment to thrive and embrace who they are.
